The Flinders Street car park site accommodates 300 spaces and services an array of different customers including corporate offices, leisure visitors, casino patrons, nightclubs, dining and hotel patrons.

Challenge

Nationwide Parking re-activated the major CBD car park during the COVID-19 pandemic and the peak of the summer holiday season. The site was closed for over six months due to the pandemic.

Solution
Nationwide prepared and applied a strategic business plan comprising a targeted sales and awareness campaign and pricing strategy to re-establish the car park as the leading parking facility in the precinct. This included a whole new fit out of state-of-the-art automated equipment with Licence Plate Recognition, digital and dynamic signage, site painting, line marking and presentation upgrades to create a clean, safe and well-presented facility.
Benefits
Within 10 weeks from launching, the car park gained volumes to over 95% occupancy and became the leading car park with the highest market share in a precinct with 4 direct competing car parks within 100m.
